FilmOn HDi Player is a simple, neat, and handy application that offers a convenient way of watching online television channels from the comfort of your desktop. The only thing this application requires in order to let you to watch live TV streams on your desktop is a simple Internet connection.

One of the best things about this program is the fact that by default it provides a wide selection of channels of all kinds, including, news, sports, movies, shopping, and so on, from all over the world. They are sorted by the genre and by the country. Your preferred TV stations can be added to a list of favorites for easier and quicker access. Unfortunately, the program doesn’t allow for adding new channels to the playlist, but the default list should be quite sufficient since it’s very comprehensive and includes the stations of popular networks like BBC and Euronews.

Another great thing about this tool is the fact that it allows you to record TV streams as well. Furthermore, scheduling the recordings is possible. Last but not least, it comes with full support for playing back HD broadcasts, and this is a really cool feature that not many other similar TV-playing tools provide.

To sum it all up, FilmOn HDi is a powerful TV player worth a try, especially since it’s completely free of charge.

Jose Cruz The connection (streaming) keeps breaking-up, even though we have high speed ADSL. Not reliable... so far. HOWEVER a great idea, no doubt. Let's hope this program can work seamlessly in the future and justify the cost of subscription.

Guest I just installed the HDi Player on my Win 8 laptop, and this completely "screwed up" my PC. I had to make a "system restore" to make it work again. So please be warned.
